GREECE - OCTOBER 11-25, 2008: TRIP OVERVIEW

The overall mission of this trip is to make a difference in the lives of the people and animals that are struggling with the horrific and inhumane conditions that exist in Greece for dogs: abandonment, neglect, starvation, poisoning, overpopulation, abuse and mistreatment.

inside/out's trip participants will assist a very small minority contingent of animal welfare advocates in Greece who are desperately trying to improve these conditions and are severely overworked, under-funded and overextended. Our primary activities will be to provide hands-on assistance in the construction of much needed shelter facilities in Patras, located on the gulf of the Peloponnese, and other care and feeding programs in Ioannina, located in the mountains of the central mainland, the Zagoria region. We may also assist in a large-scale spay/neuter program, the treatment of sick or injured dogs and other support efforts.

GUATEMALA - DECEMBER 27, 2008 - JANUARY 8, 2009: TRIP OVERVIEW - Registration Closed! Additional Dates to be Added!

Our purpose in this trip is to assist the village of Panajachel, devastated by Hurricane Stan which hit Guatemala and El Salvador and came at a time between Hurricane Katrina and the earthquake which destroyed so much of Pakistan in 2005. Many people have remained unaware of the destruction and loss it created for thousands of Guatemalans, which remains yet today. Perhaps because of the timing or for other reasons, assistance for this region has gone largely overlooked.

inside/out's trip participants will assist in rebuilding efforts in Panajachel.

AFRICA - LATE SUMMER 2009

We will work side-by-side with the Maasai in a tree planting project and work together on a water project in two separate trips. Adventure will include a climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro for one trip and other less strenuous local adventure activities for the other. Both will include safari options.
